"This is a pub we’ve lunched at many times in the past and our first time since the new owners took over. Whilst the food was good, I too found it overpriced, especially for the children’s meal. Two fish goujons, chips and peas….not much return for £7!! (Could have served up four goujons at least). Sweets starting at £7 , no thank you. The blonde behind the bar was far from customer-friendly. We won’t be returning, sadly. On to pastures new……"

"Let me stress that I like this pub. I will continue to go, but I have ongoing niggles which could be easily addressed, but thus far haven’t. The Sunday lunch is good but someone in the kitchen is an abject failure at making Yorkshire pudding....To be honest they would be better off buying them in rather than trying to make them. They are as flat as a pancake. Secondly, cauliflower cheese.... insipid. Guys/girls the hint is in the title.....cheese.....it was runny and pretty devoid of cheese. Grate some cheese on the top then put it under the grill put some English mustard in it, or just google a recipe for cauliflower cheese, but don’t serve up cauliflower covered in the equivalent of whitewash. The stuffing was undercooked too thick and claggy. Turkey is always a safe option in my view. Other than that I enjoyed it!!."

"We had fish and chips late on Wednesday night ! The cod was the size of a whale and absolutely delicious the chips were freshly cooked and delicious also. Would definately go back and order food from there again, The proprieter and assistant were...soooo friendly and welcoming. Give their food a try, you won't be disappointed! Excellent Thank you!"

"Decided to order a takeaway from here as a treat and I never will again. The curry's consisted of massive chunks of meat with watery, flavourless sauce, the chips were greasy as hell and although the naan bread had tons of cheese in, I...don't know what cheap brand they used as it was still flavourless."
