moved into the opposite, this is a fantastic curry house. the dishes are delivered quickly arriving piping hot and full taste. I have two orders now and the dishes are not fat/oily at all. I've tried many curry houses over the years, and that's a stand-out. View all feedback.
What Louise Harper doesn't like about Spice Lounge Express:
Most of the meal was inedible, thank god for the poppadoms which were delicious. Samba Daal tasted like it had a tablespoon of sugar in it, sabji b was a lot of raw vegetables in spicy oil, tawa fish was dry and unappetising. Feel very sad because that was my treat take away meal. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2 View all feedback.
Vindaloo not a proper vindaloo, more like a phall, when a vindaloo is done properly, it's flavoursome this wasn't . Lamb wrap OK. 3 items 25 pounds and poor.
Was highly recommended by a friend whom I thank. The food really was superb. I would even say, one of the best curries we've had
Poor: Been getting our curries from here for a very long time…always been brilliant. However, the last couple have very mediocre at best. I used to overlook the premium prices because the food was sublime, but things have changed and I feel they’ve taken advantage of the food consumer prices. Prices have increased, but the product has decreased. Lamb used to be melt in the mouth, now just almost inedible cubes…same with chicken and duck. Don’t even get me started on the prawn dishes…two jumbo prawns in a buttery garlic sauce…£8.50 taking the p**s tbh. Up your game guys or you’ll be gone
Always go to spice lounge, food is lovely, I do have to ask for mild Tikka masala, cause they have spiced it up, but if you ask you get, it was a lovely Valentine's dinner tonight and always, have tried many others, no where near as nice.
The chicken karahi lacked the expected flavors, leaving a rather bland and unremarkable taste. The dish seemed to lack the essential spices and depth that usually characterize a flavorful chicken karahi. The chicken itself was cooked adequately, but the absence of the signature taste was disappointing. Overall, it failed to meet the standard one would anticipate from this classic dish.
