"We called and booked at Taste only an hour before eating there. We were a bit apologetic that at short notice, we were bringing a gluten free pescatarian we try to give more notice than that! To their credit, they didn’t panic, they got input from both chefs, and delivered me a “seafood special”, featuring a terrific Jerusalem artichoke mash. My husband adored his bread and butter pudding."

"Visited on 22/4. We ordered hot chocolate drinks on a cold, wet morning. After a 20 minute wait we were given a glass of barely lukewarm milk with a drizzle of chocolate syrup clinging to the sides of the glass. Vigorous stirring turned the milk into a very pale beige colour but still lukewarm. Very overpriced.The shop, however, had some lovely chocolate treats for purchase including large chocolate freckles and delicious rocky road. This at least compensated for the unimpressive cafe."
