What adyval likes about Malton Relish:
Visited here Saturday 15th July 2023 having just arrived in Malton. Got a table ok, extensive menu. Ordered large coffees which in our eyes were not that large as opposed to Costa and at £4.45 was too pricey. Drink was just ok not very strong. Service was ok. read more.

in the morning to the coffee and to the sandwich. we have some amazing items from here as deli and always recommend. Unfortunately, today was not a patch on what we have experienced before. the rare bark and sear radish sandwich was actually discs of what looked like super market tastelessly packed bark with tasteless sear radish. the flat white was actually roasted milk. much we wanted them to run out. read more.

"Well what a lovely stay we had, checked into the White Horse after visiting York, we were given the warmest welcome by John and Dawn. After we were settled into our lovely room Rose room) which was really comfortable and cosy, especially the super...king bed, we wondered down to the bar and restaurant for an evening meal. Again we were greeted by the friendly hosts and even the regulars made us feel welcome. Food was not a disappointment either yummy). Amazing nights sleep followed and then a great breakfast. Thanks again John and Dawn could not fault a thing."

"We came as a family last Sunday and couldn’t believe how cute the little building was on the outside and transported you back in time when you stepped into the tea parlour. Our host was Stacey who was really friendly, funny and attentive. We decided to go get a selection of the classic afternoon tea and savoury afternoon tea- both were so tasty and made to order. The bread for the sandwiches was so soft, the fillings especially the egg mayonnaise was creamy and not eggy in the slightest. The cheese scones and pork pie were delightful too (Stacey told their secret to making the cheese scones so light and fluffy). The onion marmalade was so moorish we ended up buying a bottle to take home. The classic afternoon tea was also delicious with everything being well presented, sweet but not too sweet and plentiful (we took a doggy bag home). The presentation of our afternoon teas was lovely and we loved the china as it dates back from the early 1900s and some from the mid-late 1800s. I have to say that this is the best afternoon tea I’ve had in the U.K. and after travelling and living abroad. It is definitely worth booking going, you won’t regret it and I can’t wait to go back!"

"Eating was really good. 4 of us ordered 3 different dishes and 3 of us ordered the same dessert. In portions were on the small side, we had to ask for additional maic with the nut roast and the dessert portions could also have been larger and with more fruit in the crumb. the personal was generally excellent and very friendly. Being dog-friendly is also crucial to us because we were in the opposite and the dogs would not have left behind too. really enjoyed the meal and would come back absolutely. book them further to be sure that a table is also in the middle of the week they are good to be busy."
