HUGE ice cream sunk!! My children love this place, especially the cookie monster ice cream.

Always good times here at Leatherby's, great memories are always created here. I haven't been here in awhile and I can say they never disappoint. Today, I only had a root beer float and a side of fries. The fries were delicious, crispy and seasoned just right. The root beer float was gigantic! Our server was very helpful and friendly. The bathroom was clean and stocked well. I highly recommend!

Leatherbys never fails to provide exceptional service and delicious ice cream. My family and I used to go to this location before the Elk Grove one opened up. We were still met with the same helpfulness and creamy deliciousness. They were able to accommodate a last minute table of 20 people on a Thursday. Our waitress, Diane, was so patient gathering our orders and helping one of our grandmas to the bathroom. During the middle of the service she was very attentive in filling up our waters as well.The food we ordered was the Daddy Dave's Split, which is humongous but we split amongst 5 people. We customized our ice creams to strawberry, pistachio, and mocha almond fudge topped with hot fudge, caramel, and strawberry sauce. Each flavor was super creamy, and I appreciated how the ice cream with the nuts didn't skimp out on the nuts within the ice cream. We also ordered a side of House French fries, which were light and crispy without too much salt and fairly topped with ranch, cheese, and bacon.

I was excited for dessert and to try this well known Sacramento place. Unfortunately, this was the worst ice cream place I've been to in Sac. For ambience, imagine walking in to a high school cafeteria with moody teenagers. Terrible customer service and the ice cream is subpar. Make sure you don't request more than two flavors for trial because the cashier will start slamming the display doors and making it known she's annoyed. Their chocolate ice cream was terrible, so we ordered an additional ice cream sundae as below and when we requested more whipping cream they said no. I couldn't be more disappointed. What a waste of potential.
