"A special night out with friends who lived nearby, and they chose this place as truly representative of both local culture and cuisine. The highlights here are location right on a small river, beside gardens and a schloss, plus their emphasis on fish. Where today can you get fresh river caught wild trout, done up in any number of styles, including 'trout blau ' traditional steamed fish that really does look a bit blue in hue. The menu of course goes beyond fish, and their mixed antipasto plate was devoured in seconds. A big list of top notch wines, many from Switzerland. Our group of five ALL had no complaints, and my sole one was the price tag, as I picked up the bill. 60 Swiss francs/person is expensive even by Western European standards, but then Switzerland is expensive, period. Worth a visit. About 15 minutes north of Bern central"

"I love the store! I ordered on eat.ch. A burger (American beef burger) and a torta della nonna. The burger was fantastic. But the cake was MEEGA!!!"

"Super Nachtessen,Qualität top,Service top! Essen frisch zubereitet wie à la Mama und sehr zuvorkommender und sympathischer Service. "The establishment had a sign showing that they serve warm food from 11:30-21:45, hence why we chose this place. When we went inside, we were told that they only serve from their small menu, and from it, even only a small section of it was possible. We requested to speak to the “boss”, who then told us that they’re short on staff on Tuesdays and it’s production day. After we replied that THAT is not our problem, she retorted with arrogance that we should go somewhere else. One of our professional backgrounds was in the hospitality industry (working in different countries too , and hearing such arguments that are even so weak (even coming from “the boss”! is an absolute no-go. In any case, arrogance in the “hospitality” industry is a paradox — it defies its meaning."
