We were told upfront that there were no more pizzas on the menu and my son found out the last portion of his dish had just been served and they were out as well. Although the lady serving us was sympathetic, it took almost 45 minutes before we got our appetizers. The experience was disappointing as the reviews on tripadvisor were quite good.
We accidentally found this restaurant on the internet and decided to give it a try - thank goodness we did! We would NEVER have found it otherwise - even with the address we were not sure to be correct...it`s hidden inside the the "cepal hotel" and didn´t even look open due to the early season. The restaurant has a great view on the river, must be beautiful in summer to sit outside. Apart from a few locals we were the only guests, but it didn`t feel awkward as it usually does to be in an almost empty place. Everyone was really nice and we even got through the evening despite our very mediocre French. My husband hat the "table d`hote" for $12 extra: free choice appetizer (scampi cocktail), soup (minestrone), spaghetti bologna, free choice dessert (creme brülee) and coffee. I took the scallopina al parmiggiano and then canolli with mascarpone and a nice glas of wine. We come from Europe, so we`ve eaten better Italian food - but this was definitely a great alternative to all the sandwiches, burgers, poutine we`ve been eating! And tutto completti $70 (tip incl.) is less than we`ve paid for much less quality and taste the past weeks. So good job and we`d definitely come back!
I had the best experience at PaintloungeWe hosted my birthday at the College Street location and had a blast.
Very friendly place If you are looking into hanging out with friend who want to do something artsy, the space of the location is good for group activitiy,
I purchased several Groupons when there was a 20% discount. One of the Groupons was for a paint class with a complimentary drink for one person for $25.
