"For a single-handed business, this is nothing short of extraordinary: locally sourced organic ingredients of the highest quality are presented daily in a simple yet subtly original menu which combines great flavours (pork with caramel, tamarind with roquefort, sweetend ewe's milk with pepper) with great attention to detail and presentational flair.Aurelie, a highly-trained pastry chef, can turn her hand to just about any culinary technique, but rather than showing off prefers to concentrate on innovative flavour combinations, while simultaneously handling front of house and table service. The bookish setting (the Lieu-Dit is a bookshop run by an eco coop) belies the sophistication of the cooking, which, while unpretentious, wouldn't be out of place in a high-class metropolitan eaterie - think early Conran).Open lunchimes Tuesday to Saturday, the daily menu offers three lovingly-presented courses (including homemeade chocolate) for 15 euros - amazing! "Sainte-Affrique is a city that we always cross without stopping, except for taking a sandwich. And by the greatest chance of this sad month of November, we echoed in this hotel-restaurant on the facade a piece of tristounette. Barely entered, we have already felt a calm atmosphere in the habit, a guest looking for a good dish without ruining. A little waiting, but at 1:30, very understandable. The menu was very fast for us. The perfect swimming of eggs in its roquefort sauce, accompanied by its small salad of endives and crusts, was pleasant. Then came the swollen pot of pork and his girlfriends the potato rissolated, famous. The duck magret with Arc honey sauce in heaven immediately followed him with his homemade fries (some lack a cooking cabbage). Then, because there is always one then, dessert was proof, although already pushed back. The chocolate mousse of the Pont-Neuf made a notable entry. God alone knows (or the devil, I don't know anymore! how hard I am in this case. Mission accomplished, taste buds were filled. A small friendly discussion room at the counter with the boss during the adjustment of the 'addition before returning to the road, the complete panse and the mine are looking forward.
