"This is a lovely welcoming restaurant. Obviously in france the menu is french. Myself and my husband speak very little and the owner and waiter were absolutely impeccabley helpful. I think we all enjoyed learning a little. The waiter was exceptionally charming!! He kept apologising for his English to which my reply 'no thank you, your english is far better than my french! ' Onto the food.....wow, just lovely and freshly prepared cooked a presented. We had a deliciously lovely evening and would definately go again if in the area. It makes me want to live in France because of the food. They eat fresh food every day! It is something we all should do : Thank you for making us very welcome and filling our tummies."

"Seven of us ate here on Thursday evening and we had a lovely meal. The menu we chose from had choices for each course so there was no problem finding something that each of us liked. It's possible to choose anything from courses so different appetites are catered for. We all had starters and mains for a very reasonable The quality of the food was excellent, it was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The wine was good and the service was warm and friendly. I would definitely recommend."

"This place was recommended by a French cafe owner whom we met. She said it was her favourite place to eat. When we arrived there we saw it was packed with diners, all but us and one other couple being French, a good sign. We sat outside under a trellis with a pleasant view over a lake. The food was all local except one dish A la Normande, which seemed allowable. I had smoked carp which I had never had before. I expected it to be bony and a bit tasteless but it was delicious. My partner had local lamb. The puddings were superb and, as usual in France, nicely sharp, not sickly. It was not expensive for what we had , but good value for money, unusual and delicious. There's an attached shop that was very good too, full of local artisan products including jams,honey, preserves and chutney, besides artwork and knitted goods. This is not on the usual tourist trail but worth going quite a long way to try."
