"The service was quick and friendly. Atmosphere was nice. The food on the other hand wasn't too good. I like that they don't have a deep frier which is different and offer a salad and nachos with salsa instead. The issue is everything comes out of a container. The salad dressing, salsa, meat on my sandwich. Nothing is prepared fresh. My husband had the quesadilla which was just cheese and canned black olives, he gave me a slice which I could not finish. For the price I would have expected better food."

"We called sitting on the empty parking lot, tried to get a reservation, but they wouldn't take us and said they were full. there was no one on their parking lot. the reviews I have read about the bad service for English-speaking guests seem. very true. I would never try to give them my business again."

"Fairmont Montebello is a unique resort oozing with rustic charm and history. We enjoyed services at the spa during the day and the outdoors offer a lot of activities. The room was historical in feel but was lacking in a few modern upgrades for the price : wallpaper peeling from the walls, a jacuzzi tub from the 50s that made so much noise, we preferred not to turn it on. The bed, AMAZING comfort. Crisp sheets, comfy mattress and an assortment of pillows with different firmness. This was by far the best room feature. Dinner was a real disappointment. While the appetizer came rather quickly, we waited about 45 minutes for the main meal. My partner 's cod dish was good, but lacked a bit in flavour. I got a chicken dish that I could barely eat. The chicken was overly salty and the apricot and leek stuffing surprisingly bland. The worst part was that it was served on a rissoto textured cuttlefish ink rice. So you 're eating black rice that tastes a bit salty and fishy and does not complement the chicken. The waiter did not say anything when the dish was returned almost uneaten. Thank goodness for the crème brûlée that made me feel a bit better about my dining experience. The breakfast brunch the next morning was stellar! Attentive waiter and just delicious food despite it being buffet style. Made yon for the previous night! I would go back to this establishment anytime but would not bother to pay for the jacuzzi room or included meal. The atmosphere is unparalleled, but this is not where you 'll have a dinner that will knock your socks off. "Just passing through but we were late for lunch and took a chance on this place. Nice surprise. A small town hangout with a board menu of standard items: order at the desk, give your name, tips not necessary (how often do you see that...sign on a menu board! . They will call your name when it is ready and you pick it up at the counter. Novel approach, but it works, it’s friendly in English or French and the food was good."
