R&M Fish Shack - Saint Andrews

R&M Fish Shack offers a variety of fresh and delicious seafood, including lobster, shrimp, scallops, snow crab, fish and crab cakes, halibut, haddock, and more. I was impressed during my first visit and continue to be impressed 2.5 years later. Located near the Deer Island ferry in St George, NB, this is the perfect stop for anyone craving fresh seafood. Faith provides excellent service and I highly recommend this restaurant.

Faith (owner) always has a great selection of fresh/live lobster at competitive prices. I have found that she also has a great selection of prepared foods like smoked salmon. For some things, like haddock, scallops and tubs of cooked and de-shelled lobster, she has it frozen. Have tried all of them and never been disappointed. They also have an air shipping service that can deliver live lobsters to most airports.

I ordered the lobster dip, shrimp dip, shrimp rice bowl, and lobster roll. The rice bowl was generous enough to serve two people, and the lobster roll was the best I have ever had. The dishes were incredibly fresh and tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant.

It is well worth the drive to get fish, scallops, clams and haddock right out of the water. As you are nearing Back Bay keep an eye out on your left or you'll miss it.

You can order ahead of time this shop will cook your lobsters for you so you don't have the mess and smell in your kitchen. We picked up close to 9 pounds of amazing lobster here. The owner is proud and it shows in her service.
