This hotel is a find it is old fashioned in the nicest way, comfortable, clean, with good food and a proprietor who made our stay with his genuine kindness. What John U doesn't like about Hotel L'Oppidum:
The location of this hotel is very atmospheric, and the town extremely interesting, so it is worthwhile putting up with the very spotty quality of the food. During high tourist season I suspect Madame is in the kitchen, but we got re-heated things, a bad wine list, and even one salad with a live worm.
