Family lunch on this beautiful but chilly windswept beach on France's Atlantic coast. GdS is a reasonably smart restaurant. with beach views. Friendly and professional staff. The menu prix fixe is a bargain for a pretty sophisticated lunch in nice surroundings. Interesting and well-priced wine list. Far better than almost all of the surrounding beachside joints. My husband and I went to the Grain de Sable by chance, taken by the lovely day and view on the sea. I chose two entrees that were delicious--a salad of beets and a cold salmon sashimi with cucumber, carrots and other vegetables presented like linguini.
