"Ice and milkshakes are very good, but the attention of the staff is lacking in detail. I ordered an egg in a waffel cone and they served it in a regular cone, and the milkshake of my daughter was about as big as they showed us that it would be. If you were looking at the prices, you would have expected a little better."

"Authentic, delicious German cuisine. My heritage is basically entirely German, so my family and I really love this restaurant and its authentic, home cooked tastes!<br/ <br/ We have only ever been to the weekend buffets. The Saturday and Sunday night buffet menus are different, but both delicious whatever they are serving. <br/ <br/ Some of the treats you might enjoy on your visit: <br/ golden, buttery schnitzel (thin breaded pork cutlets)<br/ tender (also buttery buttery can be applied to most hot dishes at Oma 's) spaetzle, which is like the German version of pasta<br/ doughy, bread filled dumplings <br/ rouladen (thin beef rolled around a pickle filling and drenched in gravy)<br/ buttery seasoned shrimp (sorry, I can 't resist using the word buttery)<br/ traditional German salads, like coleslaw and carrot salad<br/ golden pan fried potatoes<br/ authentic Schwartzwaldekirschtorte (translation: Black Forest Cherry Cake), which is not like its North Americanized cousin but less sweet and more alcoholic<br/ <br/ This restaurant is run by recent German immigrants an if you 're wondering, the name translates to 'Grandmother 's Schnitzel Room. '<br/ <br/ A more critical note: the decor is as tacky as the food is delicious. But I 'm more interested in the food than the decor."
