Swung by for a craft draft beer and it was delicious and served by wonderfully pleasant staff. Ambiance, with the wood-burning fireplace and French motif, was sophisticated yet warm and comfortable. Cafe is in a very charming historic building on the corner. Large windows allow sunlight to cascade throughout the cafe creating the perfect amount of natural lighting. Loaves of scratch-made bread available for purchase... View all feedback.
What Albertha Kris doesn't like about Cafe Belle Epoque:
This was one of our go to places in St Joe. During our last visit, it appeared they were fixing the meal ahead of time and refrigerating them, then reheating when ordered. The quality and taste was just not there. Great location, cool atmosphere but quality, taste and texture was a no. It is hard to run a restaurant these days but this is not the right direction to go. I ordered Butter Chicken (chicken curry and white rice) and my wife ordered the White Lasagna. Food was amazing, just the right portions, and the price was great!Heard about this place from staying the night at the Whiskey , Mansion Bed Breakfast which was well worth the stay as well!
My husband and I stopped in to this lovely little spot for lunch. The ambiance was nice, the service great and the food was excellent. I had the soup/ salad combo choosing the fig pear arugula salad and the tomato basil soup. Both were very good, although I might choose a different combo next time as the yummy balsamic glaze salad dressing was somewhat at odds with the crisp acidity of the tomatoes. My husband had the crustless quiche with the French onion soup. Both were tasty and well-prepared. We each had a glass of white wine. It was an exceptional dining experience on a lovely day enjoying St. Jo. We’ll be back!
Very Mature atmosphere. Food we as well made and tasted fresh. Pricing was excellent. Brought my kids in they didn’t seemed to be bothered by them which is a Plus. But ordered a coke only to realize it was brought in a coffee cup which was unusual. But the staff seemed friendly not much communication.
Our first time in was wonderful! The staff was excellent and friendly and the food was delicious. Can't wait to try other options on the menu.
