I had the best gluten-free wings in my life. Unbelievable texture and taste! The pizza was also really good, although the crust was thin for my pleasure. Also had a sharp hot cedar that was incredible! Very recommended. I got Celiac and I didn't get sick from this place. View all feedback.
What Mr doesn't like about Pizzeoli Wood Fired Pizza:
Here from out of state for a quick stay and decided on pizza. Read a ton of good reviews on this place and I just hope this was an off day. A pizza(thin but floppy), wings (consistency of tyson microwaveable) and breaded cheese balls( absolutely come in frozen). Just shy of $70. In Indiana we call this Little Caesars and it would have been $25. I truly hope this was just an off night and this isnt the normal quality... View all feedback.
We visited for lunch with our 2 year old lil' lady, ordering the Margherita and the specialty Spanakopizze. Holy moly. I had yet to experience a perfect ratio of a not too doughy wood fired pizza look no further! Both choices were exquisite. Pizzeoli knocked it out out of the park and Ava had no reservation gobbling her portion down. From the charcoal hardwood floor, to the tin coffered ceiling, strapping real wood tables, the owner, Kyle's benevolence and million dollar smile, Izzy's charm, Matt's expertise behind the oven, add on the impeccable house music selection (key to this old soul's heart), you're guaranteed to have a sensational visit from the moment you step over the threshold. This place elevates your day and your dining experience. Pizzeoli boasts a superb corner location catering to any St. Louisan, walking distance for any Soulard or Lafayette Square resident/visitor, 15 minutes for us IL folk jonesin' to find a new gem, and to top it off, baseball toss highway access. Stoked to head back so shortly for acoustic Tuesday experiencing it all in a different light...literally.
Excellent, classic pizzas with a twist! I had a long, friendly chat with the owner and staff while I waited for my pizza. I had a very difficult time choosing my pie (since there are so many great options) and they helped me to a wonderful choice of the 12 South. The flavors were perfectly balanced and the crust was unbelievable! I would sincerely recommend trying this place out, and if you are vegan or vegetarian they have room for you as well!
The quality of this pizza is outstanding. And the staff and service is even more outstanding. Was looking for a new pizza place as I have grown weary of the ones I have frequented to most of my life. And stumbled upon this place and gave it a shot. Was not disappointed and to say I was satisfied would be an understatement. If you are looking for a great environment that always has great live music and fantastic pizza I highly suggest pizzeoli.
This is very good pizza. You can tell they use high quality ingredients. I was excited to find out they make their own sausage! Pepperoni was also delicious (although they wouldn’t tell me from where except to say “from the hill” Sauce was great and the dough was cooked just perfect. What this is: an great Neapolitan pizza. About 12” pies with lots of great signature pies. Worth the trip for sure. This is not your every day pizza slice place like NY as with that level of quality comes a little higher price. But it is well worth it. Making it even more of a gem, walking in I was greeted by several employees who all were super friendly and talked to me every time they passed me. This is on my list to of places worth the quick drive down to Soulard. Oh ya and they have beer too. Few handles of mostly local craft.
Without a doubt, my new favorite pizza in the ‘Lou. Great atmosphere, super nice owner and staff, and a delicious menu. Not your typical pizza place. Felt like a true Napoli dining experience. You have got to try this place. Can’t wait to go back.
