Salt Smoke - Saint Louis

We liked our meal here! My favorite side was the cracker topped Mac and cheese and the creamy corn that had a really big taste (some peppers, not excessively spicy). The sauce options were all good, several unique and unlike others I tried. We would definitely eat here again if in the area! It was very busy on a Friday night, but we sat right away.

One of the best meals I had in time! Mac and cheese delicious and buttery. These cattle fats, so unique and tasty. The brisket was certainly the top notch! I have to get back when I'm in St. Louis!

Service was fantastic. We really enjoyed the brisket and potato salad. The ribs were delicious but not what we're used to. The beef fat fries were the best fries I've ever had. Loved the popover too which was a brand new food for us. Very happy with our first meal in St. Louis!

I had the BESTIE COMBO which included the Brisket, Ribs along with Brisket Chili cup and Beef Fat Fries. I thought the ribs were good but not enough meat on the bone and the Brisket was okay, a little dry and not much of a smoke flavor. The brisket Chili tasted like it was right out of a can. The staff was very friendly and the service was very quick. The atmosphere was very nice and of course right next to the Cardinals Ballpark.

I decided to patronize this place because I heard that the barbecue was good. The ribs and the brisket were delicious! I ordered white cheddar Mac -n- cheese, Cole slaw, and cabbage and potatoes for my sides. The Mac -n- cheese cabbage were mushy and over cooked. The Cole slaw was so dry, no juice at all. If I go back, I will only purchase the meat and cook my own sides at home.
