I remember when I went here I was told I had to pay before I eat. I've rarely encountered that and still am unsure whether that is official company policy. Anyways, the food was ok. A local highly recommended it to me when I was visiting St. Louis for the first time. And I highly doubt I will ever visit St. Louis again unless I have to. That place is frozen in time in regards to race relations. View all feedback.
Wow is everything I can say! This place is such a jewel. We were reachable in an air bnb on foot and stopped. The air was outside when we visited (a rare event I am sure), but the service was still phenomenal. We tried the smoked wings to pull pig and duck breasts. All were very tasteful and high quality. I would recommend this place to everyone!
Some of the best BBQ I've ever had. You need to try the duck jam, corn bread, burned ends, beans, ribs, turkeys and bark spikes. Everything was so delicious and served quickly. Both BBQ sauces are delicious, but we prefer the thicker, sweeter.

The Shaved Duck in Tower Grove East has been popular for years. I brought a friend who has never eaten here and he was impressed. Your burned ends are over! Service is great. I can honestly say I never ate something I didn't like. We're out on this trip because of the heat, but they have picnic tables outside if you prefer to eat it outside. You also have a nice beer and cocktail selection. Just a great neighborhood vibe with really good food!
Recommended to me by a colleague and I'm glad I stopped. Cool atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating available I went shortly after open on a Saturday and was able to get a table bar seating is also available. FOOD: Brisket burger with bacon and a side of mac. The burger was really good. I tried some of the sauces on a few bites... the burger doesn't need it but they do compliment the flavors of the meat. DRINK: Sour Grove East. The drink was well prepared. Very balanced. They had a couple of musicians setting up as I was leaving. Staff was friendly and accomodating.
