We have lived in this area for 18 months and although we know of several excellent restaurants, they are generally British, serving good quality British food in either a British or French style. This evening we visited L 'Argentière just outside the centre of Melle on the Route de Niort and had an excellent French dinner in very comfortable surroundings with perfect service. "We were on vacation around the corner of the week. We enjoyed it so much that we came twice. Very pleasant, impeccable service, qualitative dishes and adequate prices. The leader spent a long time interacting with us, demonstrating a true passion and knowledge of the profession. The server was not in the rest and turned out to be an undeniable additional positive point. We strongly advise the Petit Courault and will not hesitate to return if we have to return to the region."
