What Tony Ratke doesn't like about Alsace French Bistro:
Really cozy and airy European decor. The dining room hugs you when you walk in. The staff was friendly, too. The food was a bit of a disappointment. We've never been served really-cold red wine before. Is that an Alsatian tradition? It just made us pucker at the tartness and the alcohol. Not much more in the bouquet. Ate so fast we didn't take any pictures! Super fresh and delicious! Very small and intimate space, although casual. 1 Chef, owner, and 1 server running the show...

"Loved this place. Owner was awesome, very nice to my Wife and myself. Being from Ohio and seeing all the Ohio State memorabilia was fantastic. The Food was amazing. They make their own bread and it shows. We ordered two sandwiches (Buffalo chicken and Italian) to share, but could only eat one (size). We were very pleased with the whole environment, we will be back. Thank you and I hope this place does well so it will be around for a long time."

"The German Knodle is next door to a vegan ice cream shop and we happened to notice on the sign board that they had a couple vegan options, so we gave it a try. They have nice outdoor seating, which is great there in St. Pete. We got the curry vegan sausage and the vegan mushroom sausage. We also got the three sides on offer, which come vegan, as is the saurkraut, fries, and vinegar based potato salad. My favorite was the curry sausage, my partner's favorite was the potato salad. The waiter (possibly the owner) was very nice, but he was also helping with food prep, so it was hard to get his attention at the end of the meal, but we were in no hurry."
