"Stopped for lunch on a Saturday during a ride from Tadousac to La Malbaie. I had a craving for an old-fashioned Saturday lunch and I got at L'Horizon. Started with a tomato noodle soup that was hot and tasty. Followed the soup with a hamburger. The meat was well-cooked and the bun a little crispy. Left satisfied. I would probably not recommend this for fine dining but for a quick lunch it was great. We ate it all!"

"Ask for a burger, 2 slices of bread and 1 steak in a bbq sauce soup with peas. We really don’t expect this and it was immangeable. Not specified that it was served with fries, so I had ordered it for the three of us, specifying it well, but we do not warn you. The 3 routing boxes that we did was the same, we never really know that we’re going to have because there’s no precision on the menus. This is really a shame, a pti pedagogy effort at the order when you see that you have to do to foreign holidaymakers would be welcome. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: CA$40–50"

"Best little restaurant, awesome staff, so helpful. Food was amazing, best pizza my husband had in 25 years he says. What a treat, if you ever in Saint Simeon do yourself a favor and stop for a bite to eat"

"A very nice ambiance, with white linen and a beautiful choice of meals. The food was simply excellent, albeit a bit expensive but well worth while. The only downside was a surly waitress, who couldn't smile or acknowledge anything if her life depended on it....You nearly had to beg. With that exception, it was very nice and so was the view"

"So, the first thing to realize is that there is not lots and lots of choice for eateries in Baie Sainte-Catherine. We were staying across the street in the Hotel Motel Ste. Catherine and realized, based on the content and service of the breakfasts there, that we probably would not want to have dinner in that restaurant. We also did not want the hassle of the crowds of tourists in nearby (by ferry) Tadoussac.We walked across the highway and were seated with a view to kill for of the bay just at sunset. This was the best part of the experience.The servers--only two--were very, very hard pressed to handle the full restaurant. We noticed this and took account of the situation. However, the servers were also quite nice. It is true that French is the preferred language here, it seems. But for me, I was in Quebec to work on my French so this worked out. I am not sure how I would have felt with no French under my belt.The food on the two nights we ate there was excellent. I especially liked the salmon. I also thought that the price was quite reasonable. One thing I noticed at Le Vacancier and at our hotel across the street: It seems (though I am not 100 per cent sure) that these establishments are managed and staffed largely by family units."
