We had the three course menu and it was fine. Nothing too fancy but all the better for that.Well presented,well cooked and excellent portion. Hubby particulalry liked the fish soup. Can't understand the negativity about the staff from some reviewers -they were great. We would definately go back. Very understated but far more for us than some of the very fancy places in town. read more.

I reviewed the St-Val a few years ago & rated it good, & on our current visit we had a perfectly enjoyable meal there a few nights ago.But what a difference last night! I think my husband enjoyed his meal, and my main course (filet mignon de porc) was fine, but I'm pretty sure my fish soup starter was out of a carton, & it had clearly been kept warm & not stirred properly as it was full of bits of congealed soup.
