"Came here in June after a long absence, visited again on the 15th of October for Saturday Lunch, and found that to my horror(at first) that it had changed hands. New paintings on the walls (of local places), new table cloths and napkins, new cutlery, but I was delighted to find the wait staff, were the same, and remembered us, the young tall waiter who took my wine order, just said(in French) " Do you want the Graves, Chateaux La Croix, again? Now that's what I call good service,.The menu has changed, but for the better, some times the combinations the previous chef did,didn't quite work, now they are perfect . No a la carte menu but, 4 set menus at 30, 35, 48 and one that changes frequently. We had the 35 one, Foie Gras with stripes of pain d,epice (gingerbread) in it and a marvellous freshly made fruit chutney, excellent. I then had Turbot fillet, beautifully cooked on a mound of mashed potato and celariac, encircled by a good amount of truffle sauce, brilliant and was delighted to given a proper sauce spoon/knife, to cut with and scoop up the delicious sauce. We don't have them in the UK. My chum had a delicious hunk of Charolais, cooked perfectly. Deserts were equally as good, a huge rum baba with fruit and cream and a glass of rum to pour over and soak into the sponge. I had red wine marinated figs, roasted and served with home made ice cream, all in all, a wonderful meal. I spoke to the new owner Adeline, who told me that she and her chef husband had moved down to Favieres from Boulogne in June, they ran the "Table de Nicholas" there. When we came here in June, there were only 9 other diners there, this time 40, and all French, which speaks for itself, and they also had 20-30, in another room for a family birthday meal. If you are going there on a Saturday, I would advise an early booking, it opens at noon for lunch. The service we had was excellent, but for people who came in later, the service slowed down a bit.,I can,t wait to go there again!"

"The Menu at this restaurant offered outstanding value, with a choice of 4 starters and 5 mains . We had ,6 oysters , mussels in a wonderful sauce with fries , and a choice of any desert on the A La Carte menu . It was delicious and only cost €25 euros plus a 50cl carafe of Chardonnet house wine at €10. The service was also very fast friendly and efficient . The town of St Valerie is very beautiful by the sea and the Somme estuary and also very historic . A great place for walking ."

"Coming to taste the marine mussels at noon, we are very satisfied. Very good, crispy, well cooked. The price can be a little high. Nice staff, but a little outdated. An unpleasant point, it was very noisy, which caused me a little to spoil the meal (installed at the bottom of the room). Failed to launch the second service, the staff seemed to be overflowed, hence a certain slowness to receive desserts, excellent to the rest. Very recommended reservation... from my point of view."

"We went there because presumably they were serving the best mussels in town but we were truely disappointed. We had a traditionnal ficelle picarde as a starter on which they used crème épaisse for the sauce, which was perfectly fine but then when we...had the mussels à la crème the chef did not bother to use real cream but instead used the rest of the crème épaisse and simply put it on top of the mussels... this is definetely not how you prepare the moules à la crème ... The ready-made sauce on the obviously not fresh salad was very poor and was an indication that they are not ambitious to serve nice food.This was in fact again confirmed by the fact that the cook preferred watching the television instead of preparing a decent meal... Very disappointing dinner and not to be recommended!!"
