Cannot recommend this at all the staff were unfriendly, the food was appalling, a basic heated up pancake and the whole atmosphere which should have been lovely...

"What a discovery! He's a real one. To start: a warm welcome, a pretty terrace, and a smiling and dynamic service all night. In the plate we were bluffed: everything is obviously done at home around a short card, with fresh, seasonal, and ultra local products (the special lion for the turned mushroom. it is rare,) perfectly mastered kitchen, a very fair dressage, and generous portions for an E/P/F/D menu (and magnificent buttery) at an unbeatable price for this quality. Bravo and thank you to the leader for this work and the whole team for this very good time! We hope to come back very quickly!"

"Hubby and I went the whole hog with entree, mains, dessert and coffee. From start to finish this place was amazing and the food exquisite. We had gone to Limoges for a day trip and were tired and out of sorts, having no luck finding anything open on a Friday evening on our return trip to Perigueux. One of the standouts for my husband was 'variation porc fermier' which was apparently pork done in different ways. It came with a melt in your mouth polenta, creamed potatoes, five pieces of pork all done a different way, showing off magnificent textures and flavours. I had the chicken Thai curry which was superb. This place knows how to treat it's guests, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. The waitress was helpful and friendly. Of course, it helped that the owners huge, old, and very friendly dog was sprawled out in the foyer greeting guests with a tail wag and a come and pat me head that was hard to resist. This place is relaxed yet formal, impressive yet homely. You feel as if you are entering a reception centre, but you're made to feel as if you are valued guests in someone's home. It is a standout establishment in a little pocket of the region that we would go back to."

"We had the 34 euro lunch menu in the restaurant which was very very disappointing. This was a birthday treat given by a friend. The main course of fish was dry and shrivelled to the point of disappearing. There wasn't anything else on the plate apart from a few cerise tomatoes and limp asparagus tips. The service was very very slow, and took three hours to complete the meal. Even though we live locally we will not recommend this restaurant and sadly we won't be returning."
