"Friendly and romantic restaurant on the edge of the mayenne arranged in the old locker's house with a lot of taste. the kitchen of a great chef is excellent and the quality products. good loire wines to accompany all this and the evening is more than successful. a very good address in a small village classified as "fashion of charm." we will return there with great day pleasure for the view on the mayenne and beautiful days to enjoy the outdoor terrace."

"This relais became very busy with lorry drivers in the huge park outside. Pay up front for your 4 course meal 11.50€. That includes wine! Salad buffet to start, with a large choice. 6 mains to choose from including a duck dish which was really good. The cheese selection had a beautifully ripe chevre, and the desserts were basic but fine. Excellent value for money."

"We ate for six consecutive nights in l'authentique, each meal was a tribute to the chef's skill and his real feeling for his ingredients. highlights? the freshwater prawns, the superbly cooked american steak, and best of all, perfectly cooked and presented duck. the food was light, flavourful, and beautifully presented. we put the wine choice in the chef's hands, and drank exceeding well. It's worth the trip to Lion just to dine at this restaurant, but be warned, it is small, book ahead."
