The Half Penny Grill - Salem

First time visit, good chance it won't be the last. I had the Diablo Chicken Wrap. This definitely has some heat to it. So often menu items are advertised as spicy and are only mildly so. Not for this wrap well done. The sweet potato fries are among the best I've had. Definitely right on par with the Original Roadhouse Grill, which I judge all other sweet potato fries by. My wife had the french dip and was definitely pleased with it. They were definitely not skimping on the meat. Our server seemed to be handling the whole place and was doing a great job of it. She was very friendly and seemed happy to be doing the job. This is quite contrary to the majority of servers these days.

Let me just say OUTSTANDING! For the first time in the Half Penny to try Thursday Rib Night. It didn't disappoint! Every employee, host, server, bartender and these magic elves in the kitchen were great!! You also have a take home menu/caldar so you know all the wonderful things they offer. The Half Penny will be a regular thing!

Always get a good service here. Nice friendly bartender. I came here looking for a Philly cheese, had no one, but her French dip was a good subsite. Au jus was savory, bread was soft and meat was delicious. I also didn't know for a contract, but they had a live band playing and they definitely played good music. Everything in a wonderful evening.

Omg, first time here, and the prime rib was absolutely amazing. Came specifically as my friends band was playing, and they pack the house every time! But the food was beyond delicious, and the staff super friendly, strongly recommended ?

The people are friendly and on top of it, the drinks are strong but good. The Half Penny Mac n Cheese with bacon is the best mac an cheese I have ever tried!! A must try! And its only $5 from 4-6 pm
