What David Scott doesn't like about Witch City Hibachi, Inc.:
Not sure I get the raves for this place. The chefs were nice, typical for a hibachi restaurant, nothing new, but we definitely weren't impressed with the food. The sesame dressing for the salad was watery, the miso soup was water with a mushroom and the entrees were average at best. I ended up in the bathroom soon after, so probably won't be going back any time soon View all feedback.

"After reading/hearing all of the hype for this place, I was severely disappointed with the food from here. To preface, I love good food, I love cooking. I’ve visited a lot of fine-dining restaurants in my lifetime and though they’re expensive, I find the food is usually so good it’s worth it. The food I had from here was no where near worth the price, and this was the most disappointed I’ve ever been with food from a nicer restaurant.Fair warning: the portions are relatively small, and for the portion size the price is *very* steep. I spent over $200 for a meal 2 cocktails for me and my partner and we weren’t full after. The drinks were good, but the food wasn’t. We both found the flavor of what we ordered to be very basic, uninteresting, and all-around uninspired. The proteins were cooked well but the dishes were underwhelming. The service was good and our server was friendly but they put a lot of effort into trying to hype their guests up for the food. There’s some psychology to this, people are more likely to think a food/product is incredible if you get them excited for it (the same is true for how much money is spent on it).I was really excited to finally eat here, hoping to add a new restaurant to our list of favorites. We won’t be returning."

"The food was fantastic. It was prepared exactly as expected and very flavorful. The service was good. Tough time for any food service business, and as is the norm, our server had a large area of tables to serve. The decor was what you would expect from a higher end steak house, but there was dust on the lamp in the corner, and what appeared to be a drain fly around our table. It was hard to have a conversation with my wife, or hear the server explain the specials as another party two tables over was loud. We went for our anniversary, and the server gave us a complimentary sorbet at the end of the meal. I would go back, but I'd like to see it a little cleaner."

"I am neither vegan nor vegetarian and have enjoyed her eating. we had excellent service and several delicious dishes and drinks. we have the cantonese noodles (crisis) with sweet Thai icestee, Oolong tea, hot and acidic suppe, elansuppet with mushrooms, shumai was ok,) something that looked like frying on salat, which was good and we finished with cheesecake with hotberry garnet and tiramis. everything was delicious and great! my only grip was the shumai, they could have been better. but everything else was fantastic"
