"We had lunch here today , and for about 22 euros it was absolutely excellent . A lovely terrace , and very pleasant service . I had the salmon and beetroot terrine to start , followed by hake with selfish , and then two of the most yummy grand mariner soufles.Others had Oysters and veal and reported themselves very pleased . All washed down with an excellent local Rose . All in all a very pleasant interlude on a hot day . Alas is a lovely little Bearn village which has madly just declared itself a principality - and put up custom posts ! All good fun - lovely church to visit - but the highlight was an excellent lunch ."

"We didn't have lunch this afternoon and it was succulent! The vegetarian special I chose was really perfect. Seasoning, flavours, grilled and melted vegetables... The carrot cake was very good. Mamy devoured her bearish dish, my husband loved her peeling chipirons and garcons the meat and especially their caramel melts! The melting and just perfect crumbles. A delight! "We go here regularly on our family holidays. It is THE treat of the holiday. This family run, extremely friendly, understated resteraunt serves the best food we are yet to experience in the region. The goats cheese salad served in filo pastry parcels with fried pancetta and fresh salad leaves is a personal favourite as is the cote de Beouf, a meat-eaters hevean. The set menu of 3 courses is €24. Though not cheap, the food is such excellent quality and quantity that it is more than worth any extra expense. If you are within a 100 mile radius of this resteraunt it is worth the trek. We could not recommend it more highly."
