We just stopped by for lunch in the bar as I was curious to see the restaurant menu, which looked amazing but not suitable for vegetarians. The bar menu however had a good selection and my husband enjoyed the aubergines in romesco sauce, the best romesco I have ever tasted. What ChasDickens doesn't like about Arais:
We were disappointed by our sole lunch here at the bar, which seems to be designed with some kind of Soho movie set in mind. In the more formal dining room, the prix fixe degustation menus were, I think, a choice between something like 40E and one for 65E, so you would assume that someone in the kitchen knew what he or she was doing. Great service and a really nice atmosphere in the bar. Food was excellent and was all really fresh. Black pudding was delicious!!
Arais is the most amazing and the best restaurant in Salobrena. The food is exceptional and the chef has an amazing talent for combining flavours. It's a shame...
