"We went to Arempas in Midvale on a Saturday afternoon around 3. Overall impressions: clean, nice decor, fun music. The service was pretty good. We we seated in an empty area, the other side kept getting all the patrons. The waiter showed up 5-10 minutes later and we asked about the menu as it’s our first time. He was very knowledgeable; I ordered the pabellon arepa. It’s a fried corn meal biscuit thing cut open filled with meat, cheese and sweet plaintains. Definitely a new taste combo for me, it’s a good thing! Great taste, just wish the filling was more evenly distributed and the shell was pretty tough to eat. Messy too.My husband chose the fried pork and cheese cachapa. I tried it, the pork was almost too crispy but tasty; the corn pancake part is pretty sweet, my husband liked it a lot.Overall, a good experience. I have a gluten intolerance and loved that almost all the menu is gluten free. We will be back!"

"Nice clean atmosphere. Not impressed with the Pho, it was a bit too sweet. Not exactly sure how I feel about paper plates and plastic spoons. However, we do live in a throwaway society. Overall just OK. You order/pay using the kiosk, they bring out your order and you clean your own table. No real interaction with staff."

"Great spot at the 9th and 9th. Order at the register and then they bring it to you. We had the chickpea stew, brussel sprouts and kale Caesar slaw. All three were good, but the stand out was the dressing on the slaw. Definitely planning to go back and try the falafel and different sides. The people who were working there seemed to really enjoy what they were doing. No vegan desserts. Kombucha on tap."

"Been hearing about this place and wanting to try the last few times we've been in the SLC area. Did not disappoint. Tikka masala, saag, dahl, everything was full of flavor, and satisfying. The rice was nice and light, naan was chewy yet fluffy. Easily the best Indian style food I've had. Little out of the way, but worth the drive. Simply delicious. A place to remember the next time we are in this area."
