Naked Fish Japanese Bistro

My husband and I went to Naked Fish for our anniversary. I had arranged the omakase special a few weeks ahead of time (they only require a 24 hour notice, if I remember correctly.) I was sure to remind them of two things that would make many Japanese cuisine lovers cringe: I'm allergic to shellfish and egg whites. I was unsure of how good the omakase special would be given that limitation.  They handled each of the courses marvelously, and I had no allergic reactions whatsoever. Our server went above and beyond in seeing to our every need, and was able to tell me how the restaurant sourced and processed its fish for serving. The yellowtail and maguro sashimi were the best I've had in my life--given that I've never been to Japan. (Then again, how many restaurants have you been to where the yellowtail was sourced from Japan?) I have absolutely nothing that I can tell this restaurant to improve upon, and if you can...ask for the edamame ice cream and their house-made herbal tea. Scrumptious.
