City: Colbordolo (near Saltara), Via Canarecchia 31, 61022, Colbordolo, Italy
"We were recommended to Locanda Montelippo by a member of staff at our Urbino hotel after we discovered all the other quality dining places in Urbino (20-25 minutes away from Colbordolo) were closed for Wednesday evening or on annual holiday (this was in October). We received a warm friendly welcome and excellent service from all the staff. The restaurant is family run and grow much of the produce they use themselves; the rest is sourced locally. Andrea the chef took time to explain more about the dishes on the menu, showing his pride in the quality of the ingredients and the food they had to offer. A tripe starter was outstanding even for someone who doesn't usually like this, and we particularly recommend the venison stew. An excellent meal was rounded off with the offer of tasty home-made cherry liqueur!"
