Contribute FeedbackChili House offers a mix of reviews ranging from disappointed to impressed. While some found the Peking Duck to be a letdown and the service lacking, others raved about it being the best in the city. The spicy dishes were a hit, but the lack of variety in dumplings disappointed some visitors. The authentic Chinese cuisine impressed those familiar with it, but the steep prices were a common complaint. Overall, the restaurant seems to deliver a mixed experience with highlights such as the Peking Duck and attentive service but also drawbacks such as inconsistent food quality and service issues.
Good food and service was great but prices are higher for lunch specials than what is listed on the app.
Absolutely delish⦠a lot of sodium though will be back
Really great new years day meal for a group. We especially loved the cashew nut chicken, mu shu pork and pork in hot chili oil. Will definitely be back!
If you want to eat Peking Duck in SF, then this is the place to go to. You need to call ahead and order your duck in advance though. The duck was not fatty and served with a tortilla type of bread instead of the usual baos. I love it. They can get very busy but the servers were still attentive. We also love their fried chili crab with salted egg yolk.
The wait staff quickly noticed us at the door and welcomed us in, checking if we had a reservation even though the restaurant was mostly empty. They seated us and brought us tea and a waiter came up to ask if we had any questions about the menu, a surprise at a Chinese restaurant. The food came quickly and was absolutely delicious, although I wish I had called ahead to reserve the Peking duck, some other diners had it and it looked soo good.
