If you're looking for decent plank of fried fish, Fred's will suit you just fine. The fish is good. For the price, the #1 is a great deal. The fries are fine...nothing special. The shrimp consistently has way too much breading. The oysters are hit or miss. Their tartar sauce is great. This was my first time to visit any Fred's fish fry,the front counter girl did not seem like she was happy to be there the fish was good, now I believe this is a mostly carry out service,but we ate inside very boring place and you had to ask for any condiments you wanted but they were rationing certain items.
