What Gladyce Friesen doesn't like about Kusakabe:
Food and service were great. However, we were very surprised that we were limited to fixed price menus, both of which were extremely expensive. There was no indication of this on Open Table, and we would have picked a much less expensive restaurant had we known this was the case. We felt a bit duped. View all feedback. What Michael Schuett likes about Kusakabe:
Wow! This is an amazing culinary experience. Every bite is different and delicious. Presentation and service are as exceptional as the flavor. Overall, one of the best meals of my life. View all feedback.

eating and service is pretty good. the experience here is as much fun as I went in the top-level anomkase restaurants in shanghai, hongkong and tokio.
undoubtedly the best restaurant in san francisco, not only sushi. also the third service suggests all michelin star restaurants.

read moreKusakabe is a top-notch omakase restaurant in the Bay Area that offers a fantastic dining experience. While some customers were surprised by the fixed price menu options and felt it was expensive, others raved about the high-quality food, excellent service, and detailed explanations of each dish. The omakase experience at Kusakabe is truly exceptional, with perfectly executed dishes that showcase the freshness of the fish and the skill of the chefs. Customers were impressed by the attention to detail, unique flavors, and overall presentation of the food. Despite some minor issues with takeout packaging and limited menu options, Kusakabe continues to impress diners with its outstanding sushi and wonderful dining experience. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking for an exquisite meal, Kusakabe is definitely worth a visit.
Excellent and attentive service, lovely ambience. Did the 12 course tasting menu. Food was average. Not aligned with price point.
Very bad food, doesn't taste good. Very small courses. NO options, very expensive. Definitely NOT worth it. Bad experience.
