I'm a regular here at this point. Their bun bo hue is not the best in town but they're consistently good. They're not that attentive with their service but I guess that comes with the territory. The sugar cane drink is really good but it's pricey given the liquid to ice ratio. View all feedback.
What Sandra Champion doesn't like about Vietnamese Express:
I was hoping I would love this place. Sadly, it was a miss. The spring rolls were not the ones. They had fatty chicken or something in them. The flavor was sub-par.. The fried rice was basically like steamed rice pretty flavorless.. The orange chicken was not crispy at all and rather dry . The cheese puffs were good. The $7 fruit tea was good but not worth $7 bucks with all the ice. I will not be returning... View all feedback.
After the new owners took over and remolded the restaurant, the food quality is 100% better than the original restaurant. It is delicious. Very good customer service.
Very good and authentic Vietnamese food! Friendly staff. Clean restaurant and low wait.
First time here and let me say it was delicious. Generous portions and didn't skip out on condiments! Will be back. Thanks for being open on a Monday
Pho is excellent, great service, all around great little spot!
Came here for lunch two weekends in a row after enjoying it so much the first time. Small restaurant serving authentic Vietnamese food. They also serve some Chinese dishes, but stayed with the Vietnamese dishes. Same young lady served us both times and she was very friendly and efficient. Both times started off with the Vietnamese Egg rolls and Spring rolls. Also, had to get the Sugarcane juice as they actually had a Sugarcane juicer to extract the juice freshly. They have a few flavors you can add to your juice or drink it straight. For the meals, ordered different Banh Mi sandwiches. Although the meats varied, they were all delicious with the freshly baked and flaky bread. Everything was very good and authentic. Will be back for one of the few authentic Vietnamese restaurants in San Antonio.
