What F Y doesn't like about Wakuriya:
Reservation system makes this subpar. Really elitist that they choose who they wish to serve (you basically have to call with a Japanese accent or know someone or they wont bother to put you on the waitlist). View all feedback. What Marcus K likes about Wakuriya:
Fantastic take out by Chef Katsuhiro Yamasaki during this ongoing Shelter in Place era. Mutiple dishes served in their own mini trays. Ours included 'Moriwase ' ocean trout and big eye tuna sashimi. Another dish was the wagyu beef with blue shrimp. Last, was the 'unagi govan ' (eel) over rice. This dish also had a steamed egg that we thought would bust on the way home but never did. Every plate was ready to eat when... View all feedback.

Fantastic food in an intimate setting. Definitely a place I want to go back

Wakuriya restaurant has a mix of positive and negative reviews about their reservation system, but overwhelmingly positive feedback when it comes to the food quality. The establishment is praised for providing unique, thoughtful, and delicious dishes that are well worth the price. The kaiseki style meals are highly recommended for those looking for an unforgettable dining experience. The chef, Katsuhiro Yamasaki, is commended for his innovative approach to Japanese cuisine, incorporating fresh and high-quality ingredients. Despite some reservations about the reservation process, the overall consensus is that Wakuriya offers an exceptional dining experience that shouldn't be missed.
