Il Gabbiano - San Carlos de Bariloche

Il Gabbiano continues to be a wondrous delight for the senses, even after coming here for many years. The interior recalls a Tuscan home, as does the traditional, brick-lined wine cellar. Top-rate service and menu, as well as a very complete wine list. Dinner is always a treat here. Pricey, but worth it.

Very good restaurant. A little summary of italian most relevant plates. The place is ideal for a romantic dinner. Share an appetizer and good for anyone of the menu. The ossobuco milanese is fantastic, a little dry or overcooked for my taste but fantastic at this extreme latitude of the globe. In desserts list, go for the classic tiramisu or cremeBrulee. Others desserts are not to the level of the place. Great experience, would repeat!

We had a dreamy evening at II Gabbiano. The restaurant is very pretty in a cozy, rustic way. It was difficult to decide from the many wonderful choices on the menu. Everything was homemade and delicious. The service and wine selection were excellent too. I look forward to returning one day.

Had dinner there with another couple, food was delicious. I would like to strongly recommend their ´tagliatà a ribeye cooked to perfection,their juicy osso bucco and the local salmon!great greek salad and cheese board, and of course their famous tiramisu...Very homy elegant and romantic ambiance. Highly recommended

We enjoyed this restaurant on our last trip to Bariloche. As we stayed at the Llao Llao hotel and didn't want to drive to dinner we ended up again at Il Gabbiano. We love this restaurant as it is consistently good. Food is extremely well prepared, service is friendly and the owners all always around, which is a nice touch.We recommend the trout.We will be back.
