After a long trip from Phoenix, I was looking for some comfort. This place hit the square with the Udon noodle soup. The ladies were very friendly and nice and made sure I took care of myself. Even after I finished my meal, they refilled my hot tea and left me to relax. Beautiful, simple atmosphere, and it wasn't crowded. You order and pay first and then sit down when you eat. What User doesn't like about Ichiban:
Service was terrible. We ordered Ramen soup and asked to cut the noodles in the ramen soup because we ordered it for children, but cashier was so rude and told us cut it by our self. She didn't give us scissors and anything. The quality of food was not good. They charged extra money for every sauce. We will never be back, and I am not recommend anyone to come here. Wanted to try something new and found this nice Japanese sandwich place. It was delicious! I ordered the shrimp katsu sando and believe me I wanted to order more, but this sando was fulfilling! The milk breads are so soft and delicious. I would recommend eating it there as the bread might become to soggy. The place is small and does not have a public bathroom, but it does have a sink to wash your hands. That's all you need actually. Definitely would recommend to try !
I was so surprised when I received my order and in the best way possible. Delicious, great quality food. Amazing warm hearted customer service also! Highly recommend.
I've been coming here for over 20 years. It's a good, solid place to get a relatively cheap but tasty Japanese meal. The sushi used to be better and bigger but it's not a deal breaker. I really love the vegetable curry and garlic vegetables entrees. Much of the staff has been there as long as I've been going and they are always super friendly and happy to see us.
