Marinos Italian - San Diego

I love Marino's pizza it's my all time favorite! Please tell me the rumors aren't true. Are they closing permanently or just for renovations?

An absolute San Diego institution. I've just heard that Marino's is closing and I'm really going to miss this place. I'd have to guess I ate there 100+ times, we were always greeted with a smile, and we never had a bad meal. It always felt like visiting someone's home. Thank you to Mrs. Murino, Mark and Kristin, all the great staff, and to the the piano player who used to fall asleep mid-song. You all will be missed.

Love this place ! Super old school Italian. We had pasta that tasted homemade, loved the Italian salad dressing and the minestrone was super delicious I want to go back and get a huge bowl ! The service was excellent very attentive and friendly. Definitely check this place out !

The service was the best part of my meal , the food was undesirable and very disappointing. The tomato sauce and spaghetti was bland , the sausage was not good to be kind. Minestrone was average at best . I enjoyed the meatball and the salad with Italian dressing. As an Italian American the food here is nothing close to being authentic in any way , unfortunately the great people in San Diego still don't understand quality Italian food but someday they will . I will not be returning to this restaurant
