Wow! In any case, a stop is worth when you are in the area and/or in the mood for something soft ice! The biscuits and cream soft serving with the cuddly fish cone was delicious! View all feedback.
What Katherine Williams doesn't like about Somisomi:
There’s nothing necessarily wrong with the food, however on the multiple occasions I’ve come to this location I see a man who appears to be the owner of the building treating the workers poorly. He doesn’t seem to respect them. I recall last summer it was so hot in the building the ice cream melted before it got to my mouth. I can’t imagine how the workers feel. I don’t know if this is the fault of the owner however... View all feedback.
Somi Somi was such a vibe! I loved the concept of small fish waffles with delicious fillings and ice cream in fish. The prices were definitely fair considering where the shop is. The staff was very nice and helpful. It was my first time to visit this business, and the checkout took the time to explain some of the waffle fillings and ice cream flavors (not that there was a lot of explanation, but it was still nice of them to take the time to go over them). I also really liked how to add to your ice cream without an additional fee. There is a lot of parking too, so no need to worry about it! Very recommended! P.S. I ate a waffle the next day. I beat it in my toaster for a minute and it was just as crispy and tasty as the one I had freshened the day before!
I almost didn't want to write this review because I was here so often and it was so consistent! You always know what you're gonna get. I always joke with my friends that I never want to spend my money here because it is the same every time, but we always have some ice in the late evening. The Convoy site is massive compared to other locations as it is connected to the next Bingsu place. It's loud, but expected for such a popular place. There are water and many seats, as well as standing meters along the windows. I have the combination of Ube and Horchata on the ice with a taro filling. The flavors are actually spinning on site, so check the site before the headline is a great idea, and note which flavors have lactose and not, especially for this lactose intolerant friends (Sad Face). The service was great as usual!
The world of Asian desserts can be a bit strange, and when I first heard we were going to the fish cookie place I was a bit concerned. Fish are just the inspiration for the shape of the Taiyaki cakes (called ah-boong) served here, which are stuffed with cream fillings and optionally served with soft serve ice cream. Flavors for ice cream and fillings include both asian favorites (matcha, taro, red been) and western (cookies and cream, strawberry, chocolate). The place (and especially the parking lot) can get a bit crowded but it 's well worth the effort. These things are delicious.
