Urge Gastropub from San Diego Menu

What User doesn't like about Urge Gastropub:
We were disappointed as we thought that Urge would have brunch. Most places that do brunch it is until 2 or 3 pm, but come to find out it’s only served from 9am-12pm. That isn’t very much time for it, especially on a holiday like Mother’s Day. I did like the picture area that was put together for Mother’s Day. read more.

At Urge Gastropub in San Diego, you get a diverse brunch for breakfast and you can eat as much as you want pamper, and you can enjoy here scrumptious American meals like Burger or Barbecue. Naturally, they also provide you with crisply crunchy pizza, baked straight from the oven in traditional style, You can also unwind at the bar with a freshly tapped beer or other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

Urge Gastropub shares its menu with The Barrel Room so there are a lot of menus to go through. It’s almost overwhelming but we got through it and picked jambala...

"What a great little find this was. I got the traditional fish and chips. The batter on the fish was perfect. Light, crisp and good flavor allowing you to still taste the fish. And this place has a good take on chips. The fries are a good size and cooked to a perfect crispness. The seasoning on the fries was good as well. Was not too salty and had a little extra flavor. They offer several different sauces/dips. They offer traditional tatar and cocktail sauces, ketchup, malt vinegar and then some extras. Ranch, and a chipotle. The chipotle sauce was excellent on the fish, something I was not expecting. And to top it all off the music playing in the background made for a pleasant atmosphere."

"Wont accept cash and the owner has an absolutely bizarre reason why. Meat quality has also gone down and the store is verrry dirty and dusty, especially the ceiling. Used to love these guys and been coming for 20 years since the San Marcos location. Clean the shop and let us pay in cash."

"We love Mendocino Farms, always a good lunch spot, but lately there has been a considerable drop in quality.I do want to make it clear, we have not dined-in in a long while, this has all either been to-go delivery.We have a couple of usual items that we always order, the Superfood Ensalada and Curried Cous Cous. Both excellent items that have always been delicious.The salad, is awesome, good variety of textures with the crunchies, avocado, corn, etc. The dressing is also delicious and goes well with the salad. Seriously an all-time favorite salad for me.The curried cous cous is so good, spicy, yet creamy, such a good side to order when getting really anything from Mendo.I have also tried some soups, and the Pork Belly Banh Mi is also excellent.So, I wanted to share how much we love eating here before getting into the recent criticism.Lately, we have been getting our usual salad, and the proportions have just been off. One of the ingredients that they top the salad with is Cotija cheese, usually it's a small amount, used to complement the other flavors in the salad, last time we ordered it, it felt like someone was dusting out salad with the cheese, but the top fell off of the cheese container because it was super excessive.The other incident that happened was that we ordered some cous cous and it tasted like it went bad, very disappointed that we probably received an old item that was past it's shelf life.They are usually good, and I am hoping that these are some isolated incidents, but I think we will take a break from going here until they figure out these quality issues."
