It was pouring and super windy in the City. I went outside to walk to Union Square to get a bite, and I turned around. It was 4 pm and I sat at the bar. I had great service from the 2 bartenders, one was named Jorge, I forgot the other one. The Nameless one recommended the burger and fries paired with a Merlot. It was excellent. He also made a really good Martini! View all feedback.
What ExperiencedTravelers doesn't like about Aurea:
We had dinner at this restaurant; it was very tasty and surprisingly reasonably priced. Thought about breakfast, but for $22 continental breakfast seems ridiculous. You can walk a block or two into Chinatown and get the same stuff that would probably be more tasty and fresher. View all feedback.
You MUST stop in this place when you are in Nob Hill! Tony at the bar is a true craftsman and was absolutely delightful to talk to. He will share great info about the history of San Fran and mix you up a delicious cocktail with a charming smile. The burger was SO GOOD I came back the next day for another. Get the ceviche to share. I will definitely recommend to friends and come back again if ever in San Fran.
Nice bar in the lobby of Stanford Court hotel. Friendly staff and nice tables with high chairs.
Manuel in the bar was the friendliest bar tender I have ever met. We came back 4 times to see him in the two days we stayed here in SF. We were not even staying at the hotel. My mom, sister and I loved Manuel.
Honestly, this is a great spot. The barkeep was really attentive, drinks were good, and the smash burger is one of the best I've had. Definitely worth a visit and if you're staying at the hotel you can't go wrong.
Very attentive and polite staff. The appetizers are really great, especially the poutine and buffalo wings. Dining here made for a relaxed and laid back date night. There's a very nice Beniamino Bufano statue at the front door; not often you see one of those.
