I’ve been coming to this place since I was in high school because my long-time friend, told us that she was working there. Our friends all celebrated by surprising her one day at work. We were greeted by hello’s and by the scent of freshly made pizza’s. We were seated quickly, given water to start, until we were ready to order our drinks and pizza. The staff were amazing, trying to get to know us… Fast forward, I’ve... View all feedback.
What Isaac A doesn't like about Thats Amore Sf:
The friendly service here is wonderful, but the pizzas fall short of expectations. The pizzas look like you would expect from a wood oven Neapolitan-style, but the sauces and toppings, at least for the pizzas we had, tasted odd. The Genovese had some sort of béchamel-like sauce and had a strong flavor of nutmeg (or some other warming spice) which was strange. The Neopolitan was OK, but the marinara seemed too intense... Love coming here. Great pizza in a nice and cozy restaurant. Parking usually isn't too difficult. Kids love anything cheesy. The Alfredo chicken was good. The buffala prosciutto is always delicious. And we had the salad with beans, I can't re what it's called but it is the last on the list. That was tasty!
The fact that they have gluten free items was a plus! Flavor is good, service is great and atmosphere is nice. Definitely will be coming back!
My wife and I tried this restaurant for the first time today on our anniversary. Service was very calm and friendly, food was delicious and appetizing. Wood fired meat lovers pizza was a touchdown baby! Highly recommend That's Amore for love and a full belly!
I finally tried this restaurant because it has great ratings and it’s closer to where I live. I’m frankly wildly disappointed. I ordered through DoorDash the filling items with my experience: pesto pasta (pesto is rather tasteless and have literally no flavor profile worth enjoying , garlic bread (tastes great but thin, flimsy and not worth the price. It’s the only way I could eat the pasta though , Caesar salad with grilled chicken (this honestly even smelled bad when I opened it and it made me think it was the chicken. Hot chicken on salad is gross to me but the chicken wasn’t great and the salad wasn’t fresh because there was a lot of browned leaves plus the croutons were tiny and almost not present , tiramisu (I haven’t tried this because there’s like a gross slimy film on the bottom of the container and I’m not sure I want to risk it? and a chocolate cheesecake (this is a 3 out of 5 stars . For all these items combined through DoorDash this cost me nearly $100. A total waste of my money for food I found to be really really subpar for the price. This is just my honest opinion. Really disappointed in the food. Cheap and flavorless for $100 is not cool.
We ordered smoked salmon pizza from their secret menu and it was delicious. The pizza dough was fresh and Hamid served us very well.
