Amber India San Francisco

Amber cool Indian cuisine restaurant. The hotel is located in the heart of the city of SF. They like currys and breads when this is the place to visit. We had so much food today For appetiser we had Chicken 65 and Palak chat Drinks Mimosa and Mango mojito main course Paneer Kashmiri Gosht and Yellow Dal Dessert Gulab Jamun and Rasmalai Good Ambiance! Really good food. Had the butter chicken as they claim it is their specialty and not disappointed. Also the saag distributor that was perfectly cooked. Finished with the pistachio kulfi, which was also beautiful and then a disappointment of the meal the masala chai. I love Chai, but this one fell flat for me. On the positive side, it was not the super sweet chai you get at most American coffee/tea places, but it seemed very spicy to me. But considering how great everything else was, just enough to look at the tea. Service was friendly and attentive without being overlaid. The food was delivered very quickly.

This is one of the only Indian restaurants that I like going to. Coming from India, I find most of the Indian restaurants not doing a great job in terms of bringing forth the diversity and uniqueness in taste associated with each different item. I find most of them very similar, and not even close to what you find in the Indian mainland. But I kind of enjoy eating at Amber quite a bit when I crave to go to an Indian restaurant!

If you feel the urge to eat Indian food in San Francisco, you should visit Amber. The spread is huge for only $28 PP. Only I didn't like the sweet food because it was cold compared to the cough I like it hot. But big place to eat?

Very good experience with fine food, the place was alive and busy. Service was good and the food was delicious with little spin. We enjoyed their spinach chaat most. Her Kadhai distributor was on a sweeter side and made like Shahi distributors, it was disappointing. But overall we enjoyed our dinner there.
