What Russ Gilbert doesn't like about Clay Oven Indian West Portal:
My family and I have dined here many times. They are always reliable. Good food-I love the chicken korma and mango lassi. Yes, I would recommend this restaurant. I want to try their lunch buffet, which I haven't had a chance to yet, but my wife has and said it was quite good. View all feedback.
The restaurant was very dirty and the service was inattentive. The food was terrible. We were the only customers in the restaurant from 7-9pm on a Saturday night, and now I understand why it was empty. I do not recommend going to this restaurant.
The food was good, but the service was lacking. We experienced long waits for our dishes and had to actively seek out servers for assistance.
I have been frequenting this restaurant for years. Recently, I have observed changes in the dishes I typically order. The chicken mikhani now contains fewer chicken pieces, which are in strips rather than cubes, and there seems to be more sauce than before. The Rogan Josh sauce has also changed, as it is now watery instead of creamy.
The Clay Oven has been a favorite of mine for many years. Whether I order take out, dine in, or delivery, the food is always hot and delicious. I recommend this place to everyone, it's a restaurant that you have to try.
Food was great (authentic) and plentiful. Server was attentive and helpful. Nice ambiance! Good gluten free options like pakora and papadam, It was almost empty, with more take out orders than dine in customers. Not sure why?
