What Eric Jaw doesn't like about Hook Fish Co:
The burritos at this restaurant are highly praised. Are they worth it? By San Francisco standards, yes. I do wish the burrito was toasted on both sides for a satisfying crunchy bite. Also, they offer pineapple fresca. View all feedback.
This is a popular place from a background. the fried fish is excellent, with a very light and crispy crust. not greasy, and full of taste. I really liked her tartaric acid sauce. the fishtacos were great, although the tortillas were darkened and fell slightly apart. However, the fish, veg and sauce were really good. the chips and guacamole are a good choice if they need a supplement. the only disappointment was the pommes. they were a little over seasoned for our taste, and thin and soft. the service was really fast, how busy this place was. the seats are limited and the parking spaces can be an adventurous in this opposite. the journey worth it. I hope to come back here.
Listen, if I say this place is fired, trust me because I really don't care about seafood. the first time that I had fishtacos was about 8 years ago in san diego. These tacos were amazing! and then I never cracked fishtaks again until I got through old photos. So I took to yelp and this jewel comes up. her entire menu looked great, so a few of my friends and I ordered: fish tacos, crab cakes, and fish chips. they also ordered the Ceviche style court, but I didn't try so I didn't comment except it looked good. the fish tacos are 10/10. first I thought, huh, that's a little expensive for 2 tacos. I don't think I'll be full so I can order another court, how good they see it? be not like me. these fish tacos have like 1 serve by fishing each with a buck salsa top. it is considerable. also this fish was a firm cripple and so. fresh. and the salsa was crunchy and so. fresh. head fresh will be a recurring thema. the crab cakes were 8/10. they are pretty good, but not their traditional type of crab cake. they are not really crumb-coated and fried. it's more like a bucking crab meat shaped like a crab cake. but the pieces of meat were tender, juicy and so. fresh. along with the side of the salat and creamy sauce on the side, everything has joined together well. I recommend this if they want some light with some protein. like a crab salad. now for the star of show the fish chips. 10/10 definitely recommend! These beer batteries are divine! the dough was not excessively thick or oily. it is crispy on the outside, but inside delicate. when they bite, there's a nice crack, but it's not too much. the cream sauce also fits very well with her. and again, the size of the fish in each is a considerable piece and it is so. fresh. seriously, this place should be called fresh hook fresh catch of seafood and customers. it was very busy when I went there. despite the work, everyone there was super nice and attentive. a customer had a complicated order and spoke directly with the guys to sort their order. it was a pretty long conversation, but the guy never got crazy and stayed patient all the time, although it made clear to them commanding others. several customers came up to go additional items like lemon wedges or boxes and they were visited almost immediately. a perfect customer service! I will say that the only part of this place is the size. it is a hole in the wall and has only 2 tables outside and a few benches without tables. this can be a bit difficult to eat and share with friends. my friends and I had our food on the ground of a bank site and decided to stand during the meal. so if you want to have sitting opportunities with a lot of space, this is not the place, but if you want fresh seafood, great food and even better service, come here!
The good is fresh and tasty. there are no seats in the inner and limited seats outside. it can be very busy. the prices are very high: $24 for ordering fish and chips and two so.
Such a cute spot and so happy to have discovered this location in the sunset after having wanted to try the one in Mill Valley for a long time!Very limited seating so we ordered online for pick-up and food was ready extremely fast! (weekday lunch time) super fresh fish! We ordered the albacore cheeseburger, poke w/chips appetizer and fish burrito. It was all amazing!
One of the favorite spots in SF for a fish burrito or tacos. Great staff and good food.
