I'm not a coffee drinker. I went here to meet up with friends. The place is spacious, and is good to visit on an afternoon. I ordered a raspberry smoothie, and it came pretty quick, barely a wait. I wish they had more tables that catered for groups of four. We had to move two tables together. I also ordered a frosted poppy-seed cake. It was rich and delicious. Parking is tough, but what do you expect from Ocean Ave?... View all feedback.
What Xavan Omad doesn't like about Java On Ocean:
Cute atmosphere with senior citizens getting their morning coffee.Bothered by the staff who seem impatient and rushed to take orders despite it not being busy.It had been awhile since Ive visited and now Im remembering why I stopped coming. Great little cafe the menu is HUGE! The southwestern bagel is delicious. Never seen a coffee shop with pet birds in it. That was a little bit of a shock.
Soft and well made bagel. Good ambiance Warm and cozy.
I generally don't go to a cafe for food but wow I was actually impressed with what I orderedI got the fried egg sandwich (didn't expect anything super fresh maybe I'm used to Starbucks, which I still enjoy, BUT WOW) Groundworks is one of those places that clearly flies under the radar. You want a fresh breakfast, friendly service, quality coffee, and a nice atmosphere allow me to point you in the direction of Groundworks !!!! A+
Great place. You knew it's going to be a good cafe when a great big portrait of Frida Kahlo is the first thing you see walking in. Excellent espresso drinks, awesome baristas, nice warm atmosphere, friendly, diverse crowd. It's what a cafe should be. :
Beautiful, multicultural cafe welcome to all Delicious Mediterranean and American food and coffee
