What SFFoodie likes about Luella:
This is my favorite restaurant (of the moment) in the Hyde/Polk area. It’s a good place to drop by for casual fine dining every couple of weeks. I really like the look and feel of the place, the food is good and the service is always great. Cool wine list too. The dishes that I have tried and like are: Shaved fennel with crispy parmesan wafer, ahi tuna tartare tacos, coca-cola braised pork shoulder. View all feedback.
What SebastianK doesn't like about Luella:
Great ambiance; disappointing food. The wine, on the other hand, was truly excellent. 1. Lamb Chops. These were fine, but uninspired. 2. Ahi Tacos. The mango/fruit topping completely overwhelmed the taste of the Tuna. 3. Romaine Salad. eh… Try the Kenneth Volk Mourvedre 2005 if available. View all feedback.
