Tsunami Mission Bay - San Francisco

We had an excellent time at this sushi restaurant. We dined early in the evening (young child.... and the service was friendly, helpful, and punctual. At least when we were there (5:30pm on a Friday evening there were several families there an dot seems a family friendly place; by the time we were leaving the families had been replaced by a more typical SoMa crowd of 20-somethings. The food was very good, perhaps a touch on the pricey side, but given the quality and service I can't complain.

Go here during happy hour because the prices for the sushi rolls are amazing! The sushi is presented very well and the drinks are great too. There's not a huge selection of sushi places around the Mission Bay area but this is my favorite place to go when I'm in the area and want some. Don't go here if you're a sushi snob! Very clean and modern.

Some of the best sushi we have had in San Francisco. There rolls were amazing and the nigiri was fresh. The Papa San roll was probably our favorite, but the cherry trout was incredible. They also hand picked a sake flight for us, all 4 sakes were delicious. We will be back and would recommend this place to anyone!

Good quality sushi in a neighborhood that needs more restaurants serving good quality anything. Amazing bar and sake selection. I've never seen more varieties of gin, and I like gin. Some of the rolls are pretty creative, but the fish is good enough to stand on its own.

It's kinda weird how this place opens only at night, and is literally behind closed curtains, but overall the experience was great. The food was original, ginger beer is perfect, and reasonably priced for a sushi place. I'll be going back there for sure to try more dishes.
